@ steve belson,
1).Have you tried updating your video driver.

2).turning off any screen savers.

3). Open Task Scheduler ( All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Task Scheduler) Then go to "Task Scheduler Library/Microsoft/Windows/MobilePC" . Then disabled "TMM"

4). Make sure you are currently in your bad resolution, and if you are not, just go to sleep for a few seconds that will do the trick

1. Open the "Display Settings" window.
2. Select the second small monitor (800x600)
3. Check the "Extend the desktop onto this monitor" checkbox.
4. The "This is my main monitor" checkbox should now be active and you need to check it.
5. Go back to the first large monitor and check/uncheck the "Extend the desktop onto this monitor" checkbox a couple of times.
6. And now check the "This is my main monitor" checkbox.
7. Select your preferred resolution.
8. Hit Apply and make sure you receive a verification window asking you if would like to keep the new resolution.

If you don't receive the window, repeat the entire process until you do.

Let me know if this works for you.

Having set up my display settings (specifically my screen resolution) via the method shown above I find that they return to a default setting whenever following any period that the laptop is allowed to hibernate. Can anyone help me avoid this?
Thank you
