Keep Vista from Switching Wireless Networks
- 0 Comments
If you have many wireless networks in your area you probably run into this issue before, By default Vista will switch wireless networks as you travel around which is fine if you’re on the go but sometimes it will also switch networks when you aren’t presenting a problem if you have a stationary computer. Here’s how to adjust that setting.
1. Right click the wireless network icon in the system tray and choose Network and Sharing center or Click the Start Orb and type Network and choose Network and Sharing Center from the results.
2. Click Manage wireless network.
3. Click your preferred network.
4. Remove the check mark next to Connect to a more preferred network if available.
5. Click ok.
You’re finished.
