Ready for the next Vista Service Pack. Number 2 is in the wings being beta tested and if you want you can have it too. Keep in mind its in an early pre-beta stage and should only be applied to test systems. If you’re still interested down load this batch file from Mediafire and run it. It will add the necessary registry files to allow you to download it from Windows Update.
After running the batch file reboot your system and check windows update. It may take awhile for the update to show.
Here are some of SP2’s features:
- Support for VIA 64-bit CPUs
- Support for Bluetooth 2.1.
- Support for ICCD/CCID smart cards.
- Support for native Blu-Ray media recording.
- Windows Connect Now (WCN), a new tool to assist in connecting to Wi-Fi networks.
- ex-FAT file system, supporting UTC timestamps to ensure correct file synchronization across time zones.
- Windows Search 4.0 integration.
- Improved support for resuming with active Wi-Fi connections
