Hack Your Windows Vista Experience Index Score And Really Showoff
- 2 Comment
Are you tired of of having a low Windows Experience Index Score and don’t want to spend a ton of money to upgrade to a blazing fast rig, well here’s a down-n-dirty hack to make that score whatever you want. Now the base scores currently range from 1 to 5.9. so to keep it believable maybe you should only set it to 5.9 or just come up with a great story as to why its at a 9.9. Read below for the hack.
- Navigate to C:WindowsPerformanceWinSATDataStore.
- Open up the newest file in that folder with WordPad. (You may need to change you file permissions to save it after making your changes)
- Scroll down to the WinSPR settings and make your changes.

4. Save the file and now you have a 9.9 Super Rig.
UPDATE: 10-27-07 I forgot to mention if you can’t save the file you will need to disable User Account control first. For directions to disable UAC Click here.

I had a access denied error the whole time. I couldn’t edit the permissions even after i took owner ship of the file… So i saved it (with it’s original name) to my documents and then moved it to the datastore folder and it replaced the old… Now i got a score of 9.9
