When you’re navigating your files in Windows Explorer the options in the right click menu are very helpful you can open files, cut, copy, paste, send to and others but there a two that are missing. How about if you could add Move to and Copy to a folder. This little trick has saved me countless time. This Tweak requires editing the Registry so create a restore point before you try this. Here’s how the right click menu looks before the tweak.
Step 1. Start type Regedit in the search box. Then click Regedit under Programs.
Step 2. Accept the UAC if prompted.
Step 3. Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTAllFilesystemObjectsshellexContextMenuHandlers.
Step 4. Right Click ContentMenuHandlers and select New > Key and name the key Copy To.
Step 5. Highlight the new key you just created, From the right hand side right click on the subkey named Default and select Modify. In the Value data field enter the following string:
{C2FBB630-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13} Then click Ok to finish.
Step 6. To add the Move to. Right Click ContentMenuHandlers and select New > Key and name the key Move To.
Highlight the new key you just created, From the right hand side right click on the subkey named Default and select Modify. In the Value data field enter the following string:
{C2FBB631-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13} Then click Ok to finish and close the Registry Editor.
Now when you right click a file in windows Explorer you will be given the Copy To & move To options.
