Change What Happens When you Click The Shutdown Button

When you press the power button of your Windows Vista computer, Windows puts the system into sleep mode by default. If you would like your computer to shut down instead follow the instructions below.

Click Start > type Power in the search box > click Power Options shortcut at the top of the screen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Select the Power Options you are using and click Change Plan Settings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click Change advanced power settings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here you can change the Start Menu Shutdown button and your case button. Click the drop down and change it to what you want,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While your in the Power Options menu look around and see what else is available to change.
