Turn off Vista’s Unused Features

You can turn off Windows Features to save memory and CPU cycles, on Feature you don?t use or need. Example: I don?t have a Tablet PC so I don?t need Tablet PC components running nor do I use Meeting Space. Here?s how to get rid of them.

Click Start.

Type Features in the search field and press enter.(This will open the Program & Features control panel)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click continue in the UAC.

Choose turn Windows Features on or off.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clear the check box next to the Feature you want to turn off.
