Keep Your Computer From Entering Hibernation Mode.

battery-logo.jpgDon’t you hate it when you walk away from your computer for a while and when you come back it seems like it shut down and you need to hit the on button to restart it. When I first started using Vista this drove me crazy. Hibernation mode is on by default in Vista, here’s how to adjust or just plain turn it off

1.Open Power Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Power Options.

2.On the Select a power plan page, click Change when the computer sleeps.

3.On the Change settings for the plan page, click Change advanced power settings.

4.On the Advanced settings tab, expand Sleep, expand Sleep after, click On battery or Plugged in (or both), click the arrow, and then click Never.

5 Expand Hibernate after, click On battery or Plugged in (or both), click the arrow, and then click Never.

If you also want the display to stay turned on, expand Display, expand Turn off display after, click On battery or Plugged in (or both), click the arrow, and then click Never.

6.Click OK, and then click Save changes.
